I'm watching 'Hit Me Baby 1 More Time.' I don't know why, but I am.
And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Tiffany had the best past-hit performance. I HATED Tiffany when she was originally popular. Is it my imagination, or is she pregnant? I bet that freaks out a lot of guys who grew up listening to (okay, salivating over) her way back when :)
I'm not sure what's gotten into Loverboy, but I don't think Enrique Iglesias' 'Hero' was the best choice of cover. I guess I'll find out soon.
Tonight is a musical night; I've bought another batch of songs from iTunes. Some recommendations:
- The Duhks - I couldn't find the remote on Sunday and ended up watching an hour of CMT. The Duhks video was one of the first ones I saw, and they are awesome! They're folk, rock, bluegrass, a little bit of everything. Their song 'Mists of Down Below' is really good.
- Sugarland - Another accidental CMT discovery, I really liked their song 'Something More.' When I searched for them on iTunes, I found out they sing another song I like, 'Baby Girl.'
- Old Rod Stewart Songs - When my brother and I had dinner, the restaurant was apparently having 70s night on the piped-in music. When 'Maggie May' came on, we started talking about how great Rod Stewart is. I downloaded 'Maggie May' and 'The First Cut Is the Deepest.'
Hey, Loverboy's version of 'Hero' wasn't bad at all. So far, the artists covers of current songs have been better than their performances of their old hits.
